Recycling
Responsibility
Recycling is to take responsibility for the environment and for your interaction with it. It is to realise that we are only stewards of God's world and so must care for the environment.
Beneficial
There is no doubt that recycling inkjet and toner cartridges is both
practical and beneficial. The same applies to the re-use of all those
mobile phones that just lay around in a drawer gathering dust after you
have bought the latest model.
- Save Resources
- Save Energy
- Reduce Pollution
- Reduce Landfill
- Save Money
Some Statistics
- It is estimated that over 30 million inkjet cartridges are dumped each year in the UK.
- Maybe only 5% of all empty inkjet cartridges are currently being recycled.
- Most ink cartridges can be re-used between 3 and 7 times.
- Waste inkjet cartridges alone result in about 15,000 tonnes of landfill waste each year in the UK - that's plastic and metal being wasted.
- The plastics in cartridges can take up to 1,000 years to decay.
Easy to do
This sort of recycling is easy to do! And if you do it through a scheme such as Recycle4God, the benefits are not only seen in less waste of precious resources, but also the conversion of waste into resources that can be such a blessing to the work of a Christian charity.
So why not become part of this scheme!
